  1. Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
  2. And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
  3. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
  4. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
  5. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
  1. Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.
  2. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.
  3. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
  4. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.
  5. May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

  1. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
  2. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
  3. Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
  4. Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
  5. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should eat.
  1. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.
  2. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you,
  3. nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
  4. We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow.
  5. For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

  1. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
  2. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
  3. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
  4. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
  5. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
  1. We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies.
  2. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat.
  3. And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.
  4. If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed.
  5. Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

  1. Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
  2. The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
  3. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
  1. Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
  2. I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.
  3. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
