  1. And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
  2. And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
  3. And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
  4. And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
  5. And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.
  1. The LORD said to Moses, "Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.
  2. Be ready in the morning, and then come up on Mount Sinai. Present yourself to me there on top of the mountain.
  3. No one is to come with you or be seen anywhere on the mountain; not even the flocks and herds may graze in front of the mountain."
  4. So Moses chiseled out two stone tablets like the first ones and went up Mount Sinai early in the morning, as the LORD had commanded him; and he carried the two stone tablets in his hands.
  5. Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD.

  1. And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
  2. Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
  3. And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
  4. And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
  5. And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
  1. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,
  2. maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."
  3. Moses bowed to the ground at once and worshiped.
  4. "O Lord, if I have found favor in your eyes," he said, "then let the Lord go with us. Although this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our wickedness and our sin, and take us as your inheritance."
  5. Then the LORD said: "I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the LORD, will do for you.

  1. Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
  2. Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
  3. But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
  4. For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
  5. Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
  1. Obey what I command you today. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
  2. Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you.
  3. Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles.
  4. Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
  5. "Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.

¤¤Ãâ34:29
  1. And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
  2. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the Lord had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
  3. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
  4. But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
  5. And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
  1. But Moses called to them; so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and he spoke to them.
  2. Afterward all the Israelites came near him, and he gave them all the commands the LORD had given him on Mount Sinai.
  3. When Moses finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face.
  4. But whenever he entered the LORD'S presence to speak with him, he removed the veil until he came out. And when he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded,
  5. they saw that his face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.
